Twitter, one of the top-notch social networking platforms for public expression, no longer remains a publicly-traded company. It goes private as Tesla CEO Elon Musk takes it over on Monday, 25th April 2022.
So, the entire control of the social-networking platform goes to the hand of the world’s richest person. Amazingly, Musk himself has been one of the prominent and influential Twitter users in the past few years.
Elon Musk’s Vision With Twitter: How He Looks Forward To Making It Better?
Right after the announcement of the deal closure at approximately $44 Billion, Musk said that he has the vision to improve Twitter in terms of user experience. To ensure it, he is looking forward to adding more features.
On the other hand, he is looking forward to making Twitter a spam-free social networking platform.
These visions are quite expected from Musk’s end as he is known as a person who challenges conventions in the tech field all the time.
Words Of The CEO And Independent Board Chairman
Parag Agarwal, The Twitter CEO mentioned in an organizational meeting on Monday that he is unaware of the direction of the company as Musk takes over as the owner.
However, he also did mention a good side that Musk has agreed to change up all employee stockholdings to cash. As a result, the employees would get all outstanding payments according to the present vesting schedule.
Again, Bret Taylor, the Independent Board Chairman of Twitter said that the deal shows chances of a positive outcome for the shareholders.
Business challenges are nothing new to Twitter but Musk’s entry as the owner has acted as a bell of hope. Twitter stocks on Monday boosted up by 5.7%. It saw a closure at $51.70.
Final Words
Elon Musk turning the Twitter owner is something no less than a historical event. As the platform goes totally private, it would have good scopes to improve in all aspects. However, fate always lies in the hands of time.
