OTT content giant Netflix has recently announced that it will be launching games for viewers on the platform. These games will so far only be available for the Netflix smartphone app users. To ensure its success, Netflix is heavily investing in hiring new employees who have experience in cloud gaming. Game designers and cloud coders are being hired a lot by Netflix for its cloud gaming department.

To handle “challenges to cloud gaming,” the company is hiring a Security Product manager. Netflix is also looking for someone to fill up the post of rendering engineer. The primary aim of Netflix now is to release at least 50 games by the end of this year.

So far, Netflix has soft-launched two mobile games – Into the Breach and Before Your Eyes. These two games have so far been made available to only users from the USA, UK, Canada, and a few other selected countries.

However, analysts Apptopia has reported that less than 1% of users (approximately 1.7 million users) have played these games. However, they have mentioned in their report that this quill continues to grow and will be profitable since more and more youngsters are subscribing to Netflix.
